Andy Burk: HBI Nymph

Andy Burk is truly a great tier and one of the best fly designers around. Today I am featuring his HBI nymph. This is a great fly for spring creeks and picky tailwater trout. Play with the colors to imitate different mayflies and you have a very effective pattern that will cover a variety of situations. Check out the video and tie some for yourself!

This nymph is BA-- basically this and the pheasant tail nymph are 2 of my go-to's in my fly box.

another amazing fly is his hunch back march brown nymph...

heck yeah

Deinitely true. Both are great patterns but neither are popular in Colorado which works to my advantage on picky tailwater trout.

I decided to fly through the air and live in the sunlight and enjoy life as much as I could. See the link below for more info.

I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement the concept. Thank you for the post.
