Good things ahead

I probably won't be fishing this week. Spring break has ended and I'm trying to get back in the swing of things with school. Good news is the Gunnison River is starting to open up. Should be fishable soon. Look forward to some pre-runoff action. With gas prices high and my budget low the Gunnison is going to be my daily routine. Being down the street makes things great at least when the ice has cleared. Also hope to get back on the Lake Fork for some pre-runoff fishing. This time of year the fish are hungry and seem to grab almost anything you throw at them. Runoff could be brutal with higher than average snow pack. The stillwaters might be the best option during runoff. Look forward to a great season on the water.
